Beautiful game, heart crushing story. T_T <3. A very nice, sad story. Pretty light on gameplay, more of an interactive novel, but I was invested from the start and played through the entire 1.5-ish hours with a lump in my throat.. It's not a game, it's a story. No puzzles, riddles, etc. Sad story, so if you don't like to get sad emotions from games, because "games are for entertainment/amusement", skip it.

New Dialogue System and Auto-Save: Progress Report:


Hello everyone,

Just a small announcement to keep you updated on the progress for the revisited dialogue system coming up soon for the game. If you've missed my post about it, it's Here.


I'm about 70% done with the implementation and will probably be done by the end of this week.
I will then make sure everything works fine, fix the little things here and there and hopefully will roll the update next week.

I also included an Auto-Save feature in the game and increased the walking speed in most outdoor locations.



Speaking of Save, your current save files might create some bugs or not be compatible with the updated version of the game. I'm trying to find a solution around it but it's likely that you won't be able to continue your adventure properly with your current save files after the update.

Since the game is very short and since the update is not out yet, you still have time to reach the end but if you wish to finish it later without losing your current progress, please make sure to disable the automatic update in the Steam Properties of the game.

When the game is updated, your old saves will still be accessible, make sure to delete them in game or in the game folder to avoid any bugs. If you are seeing this too late, you can hit me up in the forum and I'll try to provide some fresh save files for those who do not wish to start the game over.

Finally, I will be looking into adding one steam achievement but this might also come at a later time.

. Update: Small Fixes and Price Change:


Hey Everyone,

It has been 2 months since Gone Fireflies was released on Steam so I thought it'd be a good time to give it another small update as well as a price adjustment.

Since launch, the game has received multiple updates that fixed many small issues with the dialogues system and especially the pacing both receiving a lot of attention during those 2 months. This update is no different, I once again focused on the pauses, the transitions and the characters movements to further improve the experience.

While all those updates definitely fixed a lot of things, it also made the game slightly shorter than before. At launch, an average play-through would take between 90 and 120 minutes to complete. Now, It takes somewhere between 75 to 100 minutes to finish the current version depending on how you play and the path you take.

With that in mind, I gave the game a price adjustment that, in my opinion, fits more adequately its scale and size.

Hi everyone,

A small announcement here to promote version 1.2.0 for "Gone Fireflies".

This should be the last important update for a while since I've been working on most of the small issues that still needed fixing since the "Dialogues and Achievements" Update.

I tweaked a lot of little things here and there, fixed a weird sound bug present at the hospital, reworked a lot of the dialogues, added more details in a few maps and included more things to check while exploring the different parts of the game.

The game also has a brand new and cleaner title screen.

Gone Fireflies has been updated!

The latest version is live and should be working properly. As usual feel free to report any issues by leaving a message in the forum.

  • New and improved dialogue system.

About the Old Save Files:

As I mentioned in my previous announcement, the update might cause some issues with the save files from the old build. While they will certainly work with the new version, they might cause progression breaking bugs in some locations of the game. My advise is to try them out and see if you can continue your adventure without any problems.

If you can't progress anymore, you can try to load a earlier save if you have one. If nothing helps, it's best to delete them from the menu and/or from the save folder of the game in Steam app. If some players do not wish to start the game over, they can hit me up in the forum and I'll try to send fresh save files working with the current version.

If you wish to get all the achievements, you'll need to restart from the beginning, though.

Hello everyone,

Here we are again with another small update for Gone Fireflies. This time, I primarily focused on the pacing of the game after getting some valuable feedback from the players.

The issues with it since launch were how I implemented the dialogues, the transitions between scenes and some unnecessary characters movements and pauses during cut-scenes which made the game slow and hard to enjoy at time for some players. I spent the last 3 weeks fixing the whole game scene by scene, reviewing every dialogues, transitions and characters movements so now, hopefully, the game has a faster pace and less waiting between the playing parts.

Now, Gone Fireflies is and always will be a slow paced, narrative focused game so while my goal with this update was to make it less frustrating for the players, I also tried to keep the mood and the spirit of what this game is about.

The game has also a brand new font and tons of little fixes here and there.



Patch note:
  • Fixed and reduced the time of scenes transitions
  • Fixed and reduced the time between dialogues in many places
  • Removed Unnecessary Characters Movements and Pauses
  • Increased Indoor Walking Speed

Mayan Death Robots reinvents the artillery genre (think Worms) in a Mayan setting invaded by alien killing machines. The local multiplayer is super fun to play! but when you are alone, they made sure they have plenty of story line to keep you entertained with plenty of variations on the gameplay! well done. Some friends and me were looking for a fun brawler to try during our LAN-party. We usually play worms with some drinks until we're \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665d but were looking for something different and stumbled on this.

We were sort of getting the hang of it until some giant snake-god thing showed up and everything pretty much started exploding.

10\/10 would die in horrible chaos again.. A fun, easy-to-learn game that is perfect for parties and kids but also has a deep and rewarding competitive side. The single-player is also an excellent way to learn the game. Polished and well optimized!. Fantastic artillary game. The gameplay is pretty fast with essentially both you and your opponent taking your turns at the same time, and there is a great variety in gameplay between the different character robots (without any of them being distinctly more powerfull than the others).
Lack of online multiplayer is the only thing keeping this from a no-brainer buy. Regardless, worth your money if you like artillary games like worms.. Awesome :D Grab some friends, Belgian beers (the only true ones) and enjoy the coop mode !. Pretty boring but what it sets out to do it does correctly.

This is a VERY basic game. However this works to its advantage when you play casually in 2 player Local Multiplayer and you just want a simple game where you laugh with a friend and everybody has a reasonable chance to win.

The game itself is boring AF and having played the 2 player experience with a few different friends, I can say I never want to play the SP game... and I'm not sure after my 5 hours of legit play time that I want more 2P either.

Does just enough right that if it is on sale I would say buy it. If not take a long pass on this one.. Just tried it out, havent discovered all of it yet but its definately worth it.. Very fun pretty well balanced Worms alternative for two players who have taken a couple of beers and sit in front of the TV with gamepads. Very nice to have some fun in a fighting\/co-op couch game!. Love this game. Very easy to learn and a lot of fun when I'm having some friends over.

This game gets addictive very quickly. A nice casual game to enjoy without stress.. this is look like online games.bring back memories for me. Judging by the name you might think this game is a PVZ rip off but the actual gameplay is more like angry birds with a twist of ricochet shooter.

I bought this for my friend's kids, they liked it. But i will only recommend it if it's on special or for kids.. Recommend because this game good and it something hard after 40 eps. This game gets addictive very quickly. A nice casual game to enjoy without stress.. Just like Angry Bird but with Zombies and Plants and Bouncing Bullets. Great for Kids! Minit is a lovely action adventure game in the vein of the old Zelda games. This is pretty much the only game where the time limit is actually a fun and enhancing feature. It really makes you pay attention to your surroundings as there are only so few places that you can visit in such a short time. And when you finally figure it out, it feels immensely satisfying. Minit is a masterpiece in game design. 5\/5

The concept is really simple: you pick up a cursed sword and you get only 60 more seconds to live. You do (simple) quests, help people, find stuff, but every minute you end up dying and respawning in your home.

It's simple and fun, but it starts to get a bit repetitive and boring right near the end, the length is honestly perfect for the concept.

Due to the time limitation, quests are straightforward, dialogues are minimal, and objectives aren't too far from the characters.

I definitely enjoyed it, but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. I do think it's a nice indie experiment, worth playing maybe once.. Was a bit sceptic to give this game a try based on its graphics, but boy what a fun small little adventure! I ended up finishing the main story in one sitting of about 1.5 hours. Cute mechanics, neat little puzzles, lots of secrets and a simple story that ties it together.. Minit is a short and simple top-down adventure game, similar to Link's Awakening. The graphics are pleasant to look at and the story is silly, but charming.

The gimmick is that, sixty seconds after spawning, the player automatically dies and returns to their spawn point. Most changes made to the world (items collected, quests completed, puzzles solved) are not reset when the player respawns. There are only four possible spawn points scattered across the game's large map, so achieving any goals within those sixty seconds can be challenging. This gives the game a frantic, urgent, slightly stressful feel, similar to a speedrun. It forces the game's design to be clean and compact, since it must be possible to complete every puzzle, "dungeon", or other set-piece within sixty seconds.

My main frustration is that I've just described 99% of how the timer mechanic is used in the game. It's only used to add this sense of urgency; it doesn't affect the gameplay in any other way, other than a couple of one-off puzzles. If you were hoping for something more, then you might be disappointed.

Overall, I found the game enjoyable to play, but I felt it didn't live up to its full potential.. Was a bit sceptic to give this game a try based on its graphics, but boy what a fun small little adventure! I ended up finishing the main story in one sitting of about 1.5 hours. Cute mechanics, neat little puzzles, lots of secrets and a simple story that ties it together.

    Took me 40 hours according to Steam to complete this game. It definitely takes a lot of patience to get into since it can be frustrating in the beginning. It might even be worth playing on Easy at first. Once you do get into it though, there's a lot of fun to be had, and a lot to do. A huge world filled with secret areas and items, on top of multiple modes and endings kept me plenty busy. Plus the dev has been super responsive answering questions and issuing patches for issues myself and others have brought up in the forums. Definitely worth the asking price.. A metroidvania full of content and challenge. I am a few hours in and am enjoying it quite a bit.

    The developer is actively pushing out patches and is responsive to user feedback.. I love this game. It accomplished what it set out to do very well. My favorite Metroidvania of 2018 by far.. This game is SO close to being a recommend from me. Some people may like it.

    It's basically a "demake" of Symphony of the Night. Explore the world, collect new weapons, get upgrades, unlock new areas. Each new weapon behaves slightly different, just like SotN. You can find stat upgrades and level up after killing enough enemies.

    The problem with this game is that it's too hard for all the wrong reasons. Getting hit by an enemy will knock you back 10 feet into spikes that instakill you. Combat is insanely one dimensional and most enemies have too much health. Early game, taking a whopping 2-3 hits will kill you. By mid game I was running past every enemy I saw because I didn't want to stand there wacking enemies 6-7 times each waiting for them to die.

    Often damage is totally unavoidable. There's an enemy that shoots out a wave of green bullets. Unless you're standing right next to it and jump over it right before they shoot, you literally can't get past the wave of shots without taking hits. Late game the game throws tons of enemies at you that can barely get knocked back and you have pretty much no chance of avoiding damage. It really feels like you were intended to either grind or skip 90% of the enemies in the game.

    I ended up finishing and getting the best ending but I was really pushing myself in the last ~4 hours or so.. I'll start with a warning: this game is difficult, and it starts difficult. You're going to die in the first few rooms several times. You'll feel weak, slow and underpowered. You'll get frustrated. But stick with the game, it's not long before it really starts to open up. Once you start getting those relics, you'll find the movements are fluid and incredibly fun. Enemies are difficult, and the AI is aggressive. You can't just stand still and smack them around while taking multiple shots. You gotta dodge attacks, backflip over them, slide under them, back dash to give yourself time to get that last hit in before you die. The content in this game seems huge. Tons of relics, weapons, and consumables. In addition to the sheer amount of content, there's progression everywhere. Potions get stronger the higher your stats are (they heal\/give % values, so they scale with you). Your character levels up, and even your weapons level with use, increasing their damage and sometimes granting special abilities with those weapons. And like any good Metroidvania, there's plenty of breakable walls and secrets!
    This game is a great addition to the Metroidvania genre, and an absolute steal for the price.. This game is somewhat of a love letter to the Metroidvania genre while trying to greatly expand on what makes those games great.

    First things first, this game was done entirely by one person - coding, graphics, music, everything. It's a game that's impressive in scale but I find my favorite way to play this is to make a playlist of my favorite classic Castlevania music and put those on repeat while as I retry the same section 20 times but FINALLY get past it. Or don't get past it and wonder if I need a new relic or other powerup to progress.

    If you're a fan of mastering mobility techniques and enjoy games like Dark Souls that require a lot of repition to get past a section, this is definitely your game. This game is all about classic difficulty but the kind of difficult that's also fair.

    The start will be slow and frustrating - the enemies feel overwhelmingly powerful and more mobile than you are but after you get your first two mobility items, the game opens up dramatically. It's almost too much as there's tons and tons of rooms (over 1,000 unique rooms!). You can tell a lot of care went into enemy placement and difficulty so that when you die - it's really your fault and not something you couldn't have predicted. But the game does throw curveballs at you - enemies don't die when they jump into pits, but you sure do!

    Also read the help that's in the menu! There's a lot of things that aren't obvious like being able to warp between save points or that you need to press up to be able save at crosses.

    You can equip three weapons at a time each assigned to their own button and they've been thoughtfully balanced as best they can and the enemy types make sure you'll need to put some thought into what weapons you're using for the situation

    There's plenty of tongue-in-cheek moments and little pieces of humor sprinkled thoughout too.


    Overall this game is huge and there's a lot of attention to detail - it will absolutely punish even skilled gamers but you'll feel great when you finally backflip-hookshot-slide though the situation.

    This game is an absolute steal at this price!
    . I love this game. It accomplished what it set out to do very well. My favorite Metroidvania of 2018 by far.

About This Game




  • The Entity is a horror house styled game. You have to go through the house finding clues that your grandma left you years ago about the strange creatures. Make sure to keep an eye out for the keys as some can be quite hidden, the keys and clues all glow slightly (clues more so).

  • We didn't just want The Entity to be another jump-scare horror game so we have tried our best to find better ways to scare as well as having jump scares. When looking through the breath taking house make sure to keep an eye on your generator power as if that gets empty you're in for some pain. Charging your phone to be able to use it's light will drain the generator power very fast if you keep doing it, but also having many lights on at once will have the same effect. The Entity has three different and completely unique endings for you to explore depending on what you do through the game.

  • The Entity has partial controller support (you will need keyboard/mouse for menus) and we currently support five languages, English, Spanish, simplified Chinese, Polish, German and Russian. If there is demand to add any more languages we will add them.

    It look like a great game but a have a capable pc with a great vga card and when i am truing to record the game with obs it cracks it is the first game that this is happening .And after the new version is even worse whats happening ?. Short but good game. I have a few gripes though, and did find some bugs:
    -Sound levels are too low; I need to crank my volume up to 100% to hear anything well
    -Price tag might be just a tad too much given the games length
    -Personally didn't like the enemy design, looks too much like a recycled design from the Aliens franchise
    -Nowhere near dark enough; it should be pitch dark everywhere there is no light source (I did turn the vibrance setting on my card all the way up so that might explain how I was able to see through darkness so well)
    -When starting a new game, sometimes the game glitches out and you only see a black screen until you hit the escape key twice
    -Graphics quality option keeps resetting itself to ultra; you need to set it first from the launcher, then set it again from the main menu
    -Turning on ALL the lights in the house barely sucks up generator power; imo having them all on should suck up the power within minutes
    -Your characters idle animation when looking down makes it look you're swinging from a noose or floating in the air; it would be look better imo if the feet and legs were just static
    Despite all these, it was very enjoyable to play (and a suggestion to the dev - could you make a halloween mode?).. Finding it really frustrating to play this game. There's no in-game map which makes it hard to determine if\/where you need to look for keys. The controls are very clunky and it's difficult to interact with lights and door as they will show up together. The premise of the game has some promise but it needs work.. I played through the game three times and overall wasn't all that impressed. I experienced multiple bugs that either dampened the gameplay or didn't allow me to progress at all. This would have been worth the time spent if it was free, but paying $5 is a little much for a buggy game with a weak narrative and an unenthused bad guy. Hopefully the can fix this game, maybe then I'd give it another shot.. Game was done in less than an hour. Gameplay felt clunky and the challenge simply wasnt there. I expect more when I pay $5 for a game. Got a glitch where I could see one of the dream triggers before I walked into it. I get it, you guys are probably new to the game scene and you've got to build up your textures but this is not the way to make a splash in the world. Shame on you.. So The Entity is so far just a game where you have to find keys to open all the rooms in the house, your goal is to get into the basement but when you input the code on the first padlock the game doesn't allow you to move you can flick the lights on and off our your cell phone flashlight on and off so will have to wait till it's been fixed but will give it another go.

    I will say this game is cute and entertaining but only for a short while.

    There's a lot of sitting around in this. There isn't much to manage to keep you busy sadly.

    I would've liked to even just see the progress of orders going in and out. I never know who or what chef is doing what.

    If you are used to good tycoons. id stay away it gets boring fast.

    i also forgot to mention i had to restart my game because my chef went into a endless loop of food prep and never served the customers at one point. PLEASE if you intend to play this game, save frequently otherwise it'll ruin your resturaunt if this glitch happens. Definitely needs patched.

    Sadly i feel like i wasted my money :/. This game clearly has potential to be great, but has been very disappointing.

    Today is my third day playing. I started up my loaded saves, and for some reason, no customers were going to the restaurant at all. I restarted the game twice, and the same glitch occurred each time. The staff just stand there, moving in their spots, but that's it. I thought I would wait for the clock to tick over to the next day but nothing happened past midnight in the game. Somehow my restaurant has become an eatery in some ghost town and I therefore have zero customers!

    Also, the review system makes little sense. I would get 2.5 or 3 stars, with a heading of how the customer wouldn't be back, but review itself would say something like "Best pasta I have had in my life!"

    Twice in the game there were issues with the wait staff... one ended up outside the building (not sure how) and got stuck. I decided to fire this waiter to get rid of them and re-hired, which seemed to fix the glitch. Another got 'stuck' in the corner of the restaurant and I did the same, but the problem recurred later on. When you struggle with customers complaining about how long it takes to get their bill etc, having a glitchy waiter just puts you at a disadvantage in the game.

    As I said previously, the game has great potential. Unfortunately, for a game that sets out to have this much detail, there are too many glitches and bugs that prevent it from working at its optimum. What enjoyment I have had have been short-lived, and I can't be bothered restarting a game just to get away from a glitch.. It is a good game, but, there is an issue where atmosphere gets low, with means people dislike it and a large number of reductions happen, please nerf the reductions (IE low atmosphere score = -100% low income families is the current, make it something like -50%, or make it so that wallpapers, flooring and some decor can increase the atmosphere.)

    Overall, this game has the potential to be one of the best in the market (I saw gameplay of it from a twitch streamer, which then inspired me to play). Even in the early access state I have accumulated 3.5hrs in my first day, and counting, and I hope to continue playing it for the foreseeable future.

    I understand the game is in early access, so when these improvements have been put out I will change my response (Either by commenting or editing this one, i don't know as this is the first time I am reviewing a game on steam!

    Tweaking the many aspects of the simulation feels rewarding, with customers reviews and the option to check each customer's feedback to further improve the offer.
    The massive amount of ingredients and the recipe editor scream "hardcore" and will probabably be a distinguishing feature of the game. Being able to directly edit every single price (rather than a global margin as in many games) is also a nice touch.

    The character design is nice and varied, with some effective animation work.
    Descriptive texts are quite funny and help in setting the mood.
    The music is pleasant and didn't become annoying in my (quite long) first gaming session.

    Some UI screens need a little work and a bit more guidance would be appreciated, given the complexity of the game. But this (and a few encountered bugs) is quite the norm for an early access game, so I stay confident that, if the developers keep up the good work, this could become a great game offering many hours of fun.
    . If you like cooking and like tycoon games this is for you!. I love this game and am impressed how fast developers are fixing issues, compared to some early access games that haven't updated since July.

    Since patch i no longer earn money or rep points?. Still have a few bugs going on, but I'm glad the developer is willing to fix it asap. It's a really great game if you like managing restaurants. Can't wait for more updates. Also, small suggestion, you have a policy regarding toilet cleanliness but toilets are not even implemented in the game. Maybe have toilets installed?. I like this game a lot so far, even with how many things need to be fixed. I was experienceing a lot of glitches with the recipie editor and choosing ingredients. The dev team seems fairly enthusiatic to make changes and work on a timeline, unlike other alpha games that ive seen failed. I dont think its worth the price right now but im sure it will be once more work is done on it. Also the reviews are really frusturating, one person will rate the prices five stars and the next will be one star, both being cheapskates. The reviews are honestly all over the place and confusing, but still, I like a lot of the origional concepts the game brings in.. Game is fun but after you get about 6-8 hours of gameplay, you max out everything and then it gets dull. But for the amount of time you spend on it I guess it is fun. This would be a perfect $10 game imo.. Awsome Game

    While we are working on the first big updates for Chef, we found some time to fix some issues and release a new patch!

    Changelog
    • Fixed an issue related to savegames which could reduce the kitchen's performances
    • Added a graphic option to select the details of organic models, to let the game run smoother on low-end GPUs.
    • Fixed the "internal shadows" option to work properly.
    • Fixed the popularity perk not updating in the Restaurants Panel

    New day, new patch for Chef!

    Changelog
    • Experimental: we created a failsafe measure to prevent blocking issues. At 4am the game remove all customers and ongoing actions in the restaurant, allowing to proceed to the next day.
    • Fixed a waiter missing half head (not save compatible)
    • Fixed missing tag for Carbs skills
    • Rebalanced customer frequency to let popularity have a bigger impact.
    • Fixed an issue with the tutorial not activating properly.
    . Patch 27 - Advanced Policies - v0.6.4:


    A new, juicy update has gone live: we expanded the entire Policies System, adding another layer of depth and strategy to the game!


    You will now be able to finely tune each category of advertisement, target specific customers groups and/or drive away some of them! The update also come with a completely reworked UI, easier to use and clearly diplaying all important data!

    • Completely reworked how Policies works, with the addition of an apply button and hourly costs.
    • Added multiple stances to each Policy.
    • Advanced Policies are now unlocked via events.
    • Reworked and extended all marketing policies to allow players to both extend their influence on the map and filter desired customers.
    • Added decision to search for new potential employees directly in the Staff Panel.
    • Reworked the Policies UI to be clearer and better looking.
    • Fixed an issue seeing customers seating without facing the table.
    • Fixed an issue with the Ambience rating when moving to a new restaurant.
    • Tutorial Images are not a little blurry anymore.
    • Fixed a bug with policies not working properly after reloading.

    . City Map - Major Update Available!:


    We are happy to announce that the first Major Update for Chef is finally available! You will now be able to explore the entire city, choose in which District you want your restaurant to be, and then amass Popularity to slowly extend your influence across the whole town!

    Each District is characterized by a specific amount of potential customers and unique stats. By earning Influence Points you will be able to increase your restaurant's customer pool by acquiring the customers available in neighbouring Districts!



    And after you managed to add them to your pool, you can now decide who can come and who should go away. We reworked the customers generation system, introducing the Attractiveness: adjust your Menu and your Policies to lure specific group of customers, while sending away unwanted guests. Thanks to many new Perks, you will now have a much better control over the target you want to aim for! Goodbye Cheapskates!



    This update also includes a plethora of other fixes and improvements, including an overhaul of several UIs!

    • Created the City Map system, allowing players to extend their influence across a city with more than 140 different Districts
    • Improved the Customers generation system, introducing the concept of Attractiveness, to allow player to strategically tune their Menu and Policies to aim for specific Customer Groups.
    • Reworked the Event UI in both aesthetics and functionality.
    • Reworked the Summary UI in both aesthetics and functionality.
    • Added two more informative panels in the Summary UI, one for Customers and one for Recipes.
    • Reworked the End of the Day Ui to be consistent with changes made on the Summary UI.
    • Completely reworked how restaurant perks works: they are now available both depending on the related to both each single restaurant and the district where the restaurant is.
    • Changed the sensitivity settings when placing items on the wall, to prevent minor issues and allow for a more precise placing.
    • Added several dynamic perks in the menu, allowing players to apply even more strategy when building their menu.
    • Unlocked items are now shown at the top of each furnishing subpanel.
    • Added several images to enhance the flavor of all events
    • Tutorials have been reworked with clear images showing what to do and where to find things
    • Added several restaurant perks.
    • Added several missing strings.
    • Fixed the missing string bug on ChefAdvisor.
    • Improved performances in the Recipe Editor reducing the load on the CPU
    • Fixed some ingredient matches not working properly.
    • Fixed Jiaozi Recipe ingredients.
    • Fixed Mooncakes Recipe ingredients.
    • Added all missing templates in pre-made recipes.
    • Reworked the ingredient list in the Recipe Editor to improve its clarity always showing all Taste values.
    • Fixed the loading screen at startup.
    • Added an additional fail-safe measure to prevent people to get stuck around the restaurant.

    A quick update for those who are wondering what we were working on last month, a surprisingly low profile January for our bombastic and loud standards.

    Our initial idea was to work on the next big, fat update, but then we noticed this on our store page:



    We obviously reacted like professional, adult and responsible people. Apart from a couple of panic attacks and a desperate, naked escape through the historic center of Rome.

    Browsing the most recent reviews, we realized that we had given a low priority to some glaring issues that actually needed to be fixed as soon as possible (i.e. tutorial consistency and UI usability), simply because Chef's veterans are true Catholic Saints with an infinite reserve of patience. Some of the new players were not as ready for such a turbulent start and they rightly complained. We could have done better and we’re sorry for that.

    January has therefore gone from "wow, let's start working on these fantastic new features" to "OMMIODDIO WHAT IS THIS? OUR TUTORIAL SUCKS LET'S PURGE IT WITH FIRE", forcing us to postpone the first really juicy update for at least a couple of weeks.

    Do not fret, friends, because our January work wasn't all for naught: We have managed, among various Quality of Life improvements, to finally add the much requested recipe editing in the menu panel!

    We know you all expected a huge update in these first weeks of February, but at least we had to try to transform some of those negative feedbacks in a positive and enjoyable experience for everybody.

    • Customer recipes can now be edited, using proper buttons available in the Menu Panel!
    • Fixed the event conditions chain to allow the tutorial to progress smoothly.
    • Added an informative string when the player tries to sell an item that's being used.
    • Added a tooltip area for Recipes added to the menu, to easily see their stats.
    • Made the Recipe Rating visible on Recipes added to the menu.
    • Baloons appearing overcharacters have now colored icons, to be easily distinguishable.
    • Starting a new game no longer prevents the activation of the tutorial chain of events.
    • Made some minor fixes on tables' navigation obstacles to prevent some minor issues.
    . Patch 20 - v0.5.4.6 Changelog:
    It took some days of work, but a new patch for Chef is finally available! And it's a big one!

    We finally reworked the navigation system, meaning that 99% of bugs related to characters stuck somewhere are now gone, and overally the game looks better and performs better! Just remember to replace all tables and cooking tools when playing on older save, to avoid minor visual bugs!

    Changelog
    • Implemented ChefAdvisor comments, allowing the player to know what customers think about the food and the service. This system will be further expanded in the future to offer more information.
    • Tables placement now works differently, clearly highlighting the area used by waiters and allowing tables to be placed near walls or other tables.
    • Reworked static interaction positions into areas, to prevent stuck people and let both chefs and waiters go idle around the restaurant and the kitchen.
    • Implemented a failsafe measure to avoid all possible blocking issue related to characters and their movement.
    • Reworked all navigation meshes to reduce 3D models interpenetration.
    • Correctly implemented a waiting area for customers. Waiters will no longer wait for people to come near the door, customers will now wait to be welcomed near the restaurant's entrance, making the staff much more efficient.
    • Thanks to the waiting area it is now possible to see how many people would be willing to come into the restaurant.
    • Fixed minor issues on several tables.
    • Fixed a few strings.
    • Improved performances for Restaurant 501, 601, 602.
